Weaving Mago: Artist Talk with Minah Lee, Wryly Andherson, Romi Kim and Jaewoo Kang
In folklore, Mago is a giant woman and creator of the world, Mother Earth for the Korean peninsula. Artists Minah Lee, Wryly Andherson, Romi Kim and Jaewoo Kang visited and worked closely with the community of Haenam, Korea to learn, explore, participate, and document contemporary Shamanism surrounding this matrilineal deity with profound ties to the land.
